Soul Laughter
however, as i sit here on this interestingly brisk May, Monday morning, as hard as i try to remain 'calm', i can't help but hear the inner beating of my heart as a whirlwind of thoughts swirl around in my mind. i gently remind myself that
'everything will get done, one step at a time... everything happens as it should'
& chuckle at the thought of how i could easily get those sayings tattooed to my forearm for how often i need to remind myself of them.
and then,,, two things happened.
first, i came across this quote this morning when my boyfriend so lovingly handed an excerpt of writings by Wayne W. Dyer for me to read.

second, just as the thought of creating my monster 'to-do' list starting throwing me into a minor i-forgot-to-breath-attack
i sat down in front of my main computer & saw this image from my travels to Yugoslavia a couple years back with a dear friend of the family, Mile, (or as i know him as 'cika Mile'
) & his adorable pup. i found it recently when i was looking for a particular image for a post that is soon to come & it made me stop dead in my photo-searching tracks.
it isn't that often that i have photos of myself...
let alone a photograph where i can literally hear my soul laughing.
...even on days that feel so overwhelming
or
days when something so terrible happens you can't see straight
or
days when you just wish you could sleep in for a couple minutes longer
or
oddly brisk days when it 'should' be spring weather.
on those days,
i will choose to remind myself of who I really am
...and flip through some photos that make my soul laugh & smile.
because in the end,
your life & your days are your choice.
& as long as i am alive, i will choose to see it FILLed with great love & light.
.......so if you are looking for me today, you will find me enjoying a warm cup of coffee with a good dollop of whipped cream & sprinkles, answering back many emails and prepping Mandy & Derek's gorgeous wedding next to be posted on the blog.
