Peppermint Bark with a Twist
We added in a little fun (& delicious) twist to our annual holiday peppermint bark this year — I hope you give these a try! It’s easy, yummy & my kiddos always love making it together.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 bags of Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 bag of white chocolate chips
- 2-4 tablespoons of coconut oil
- crushed candy canes
- white chocolate chips
- A stainless steel Double Boiler Pot (not a necessity but definitely makes melting the chocolate SO MUCH easier)
*you can truly add in any toppings of your choosing, like holiday sprinkles, sliced almonds, etc.
DIRECTIONS :
1. Melt coconut oil & white & chocolate chips in a stainless steel double boiler pot (OR on very low heat in a regular stainless pot, stirring occasionally to prevent burning)
2. Spread melted mix in an even layer on a piece of parchment paper placed on a baking sheet.
3. Do one layer of @SimpleMills Sweet Thins (you can find these even at @Costco !).
4. Melt more chocolate plus coconut oil & spread another layer of chocolate on top. Sprinkle with toppings of choice to your liking (we did crushed peppermint candy canes & white chocolate chips).
5. Refrigerate 30 minutes (or until fully set).
6. Break into pieces & enjoy!
7. Store in refrigerator.
