this family seriously ROCKS.
& i am not just saying that because they are so very near & dear to my heart!

they give creativity a run for it's money & live life to the FULLEST. they beat to their own drum & in my opinion, are ones to be admired.

they are honest, loving, giving... & of course not to mention, ridiculously effortlessly stylish!

you will most likely also remember them from many previous posts on this blog, as well, including an 'i want to know YOUR story' for Matt and even one for KSP!

Matt also has an incredible blog called the Good the Dad and the Baby which you have to do yourself a favor & check out!!!

Aya, Matt, Ellie & Chloe,,, oh goodness - where do i even begin?! thank you for always bringing your heart & souls into your sessions.

before i go into this next series, i have to share some words from Matt.
his ideas for this entire family session were to capture the essence of their family today...

as Matt explains,
"The kitchen shot is just to highlight our situation as a family.
The role reversal, the reality of chaos with children. And maybe how stereotypes can look.
People may look at the picture of Aya coming in with flowers & think,
'Oh poor husband. He works so hard while she's out. She has it made.'
But if it was the man coming home with flowers, people might think
'Oh what a sweet husband appreciating his wife. SHE has it made.'
It's an unfair assumption either way."

definitely makes you think about male vs female stereotypes...
& yet reason #180 why i love this family SO much!
