Mup.mondays :: Q&a
time for another installment of ....mup mondays!
Hi Ksen! I was browsing around on your blog (smthg I just adore doing btw!) and thought of a great question for mup.mondays...i came across your post from 1-18-08 "out of town & new year new lashes" post. I love the look of your eyeshadow here. im wondering is this one color, or how do you achieve a look like this? its a very dense looking color, if that makes sense!? i love it! You rock, have a great day!
Jennifer, thanks SO much for your question & kind words!
below is how i achieved the eyeshadow look you are talking about :
MAC Eye Paints & Paint Pots are essential to having your eyeshadow look last, as well as to helping you build that 'dense looking color.'
this particular Shadestick is a graytone & is key in giving your shadow colortone depth (especially when you are trying to do a smokier eye).
MAC Brule Eyeshadow as my brow highlight color,
Old Gold Pigment as my lid color,
& Embark Eyeshadow as my crease color.
i made sure to really 'pat' down the lid color with a #239 Brush (in order to achieve the density i desired in the color)
& build the crease color by feathering it in with a #217 Brush!
i also posted the image from that blog post again below. happy Monday!
