President.elect.obama

if you stayed up to just a little past 11pm last night & were watching any type of news coverage, MSNBC, CNN, etc., you witnessed what i feel to be an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience. i couldn't believe how quickly the results came in, it all felt surreal. i am thankful to have been around some of my best friends to experience it with.

after hearing both John McCain's speech & President elect Barack Obama's, it left me feeling all the more hopeful for a better tomorrow. i appreciate so much that even after all this time & incredible effort that they both put in, there is a want to actually 'work together' because of their great love for this country -- if that doesn't showcase love, hope & change, i don't know what does. there was an undeniable energy stirring yesterday in the people all over the country. to me, it was a most beautiful thing to watch.

i love that all in all, i feel that in this election there is an even greater want to unite as a people for a better America. it wasn't only evident in the enthusiasm across the nation, be it for Barack or McCain -- it was evident in how many people actually got out & voted. i am so proud of our nation for realizing that we do, each & every one of us, count. i think it portrayed a want & hope that is undeniable.

without further ado, since i was in 'video' mode throughout this election & my previous posts, i thought it appropriate to post this video below. no matter who you voted for, thank you for voting. my wish is that we can all truly look onward to work together for an America of hope & happiness.
