Wednesday's.whimsy : Two.parts
happppppy wednesday! it has been such a crazy busy time & i am in the midst of so many things right now, so i apologize for not being able to get this post up sooner today. todays "wednesday's whimsy" is a two part post... i actually was planning on posting about something entirely different today when in the mail yesterday a most amazing, beautiful, heartfelt explosion stopped me dead in my tracks...
(.part.one.)
...it was a thank you card from one of my best girlfriend's Aya, whom you might remember from a previous post.
for anyone who knows me, they know how much i loooooove getting surprises in the mail (then again, we probably all do, don't we?!
). well, not only is Aya incredibly talented (she put together the card with her own personal, creative touches!) but she seriously has got to have the BIGGEST heart ever. Aya is a friend who will literally send you a card in the mail every other day when she knows you are having a bad week... or simply could just use the hug awaiting you in your mailbox.
( seriously!!!! ) these 'cards', however, are not just a sentence or two.... but every inch is covered in love & words (filling up our cards is something she & I have always had in common.
). she takes the time out of her day to make your day -- so today , i wanted to take the time to share with the world the ongoing beauty of this remarkable person. i wanted to THANK her for reminding me to always 'stop & smell the roses' & for invigorating me with her selflessness.
& maybe, if at the very least... this post will remind you how important & BIG the 'little things' in life truly are!!! i hope it puts a smile upon your face.
Aya, a thank you isn't enough. i want to SHOUT it from the roof tops! you are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G & i don't think words like that can be heard enough so i will continue to tell you so until we are old & gray, and one day look back at these days & laugh at our sillyness!
thank you for being the wonderful, inspiring, beauty-FULL (in every sense of that word) friend in my life. you have no idea exactly how much your words & cards mean to me. never ever stop being YOU. the world needs a million more Aya's!!!!!

the front of her beautiful card :

...at Aya's Valentine's Day Soiree, she had sent us all an index card with the original invitation & asked us to write down 3 things we are most proud of ourselves (i encourage you all to do this, by the way! really great for the soul
). in her thank you card, however, she actually wrote out the 3 things she is most proud of me on an index card (which she of course decorated in her cute fashion!) --- can we say, amazing!? who does this, really? & who wouldn't LOVE to get something so special & heartfelt in the mail? i am still in awe...

thank you again! i am so very grateful for you Aya!!!!!!!!!

hearts with wings have always been her thing, too!

the second part of this post today is a website that my most awesome assistant Danielle just recently introduced me to -- Dogeared Jewels & Gifts. if you are looking for some jewelry & gift ideas that have great depth & meaning behind them -- you have to go check out this site! i immediately fell in love & found about 500 things that i wanted to buy. i am such a sucker for things with such positive, powerful, passionate messages behind them that i had to share this with you.
it is inspiring just to read through the messages they have!!! there are so many different types of people i can think of gifting this jewelry to which is another neat aspect. it is very personal & unique, and i love that it is a simple yet strong piece of art that you would be buying!
