Protein Energy Balls
I've been making these energy balls for almost a decade now -- they are by far one of our absolute household favorites to have on hand & such an easy healthy snack, treat or addition to any meal! 😋
First up, below are my usual go-to base ingredients & then after you will see the optional add-in's I choose often to change it up a bit, as well as vary the nutritional content. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with these!
BASE INGREDIENTS :
• 2 cups Organic Gluten Free Oats
• 1 cup of a Nut Butter of your choice
• 1 cup ground Flaxseed
• 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips (I used Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips)
• 1/4 cup Organic Cacao Nibs
• 1/4 cup Organic Chia Seeds
• 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
• A couple big dashes of a good salt (ie Redmond, Celtic, Himalayan etc)
• A couple big dashes of Ceylon Cinnamon
OPTIONAL ADD-IN'S FOR ADDED NUTRITIONAL BOOST :
• 2 scoops of your favorite Protein Powder
• Organifi Red Juice Powder (to make them have a sweet almost jelly-like taste) ✨Code KSEN15 to get 15% off your order
• 2 scoops of Daily Nutrtional Support for added protein, minerals & antioxidants
• 2 scoops of Equilife Daily Fruit & Vegetable Blend for added nutritional goodness
• 2-3 tbsp of your favorite Greens Powder
• 2-3 tbsp Beet Powder
• 2-3 tbsp Organic Maca Powder
• 1/4 cup Coconut Flakes
• 1/4 cup Organic Cacao Powder to make them even more chocolatey with added benefits
DIRECTIONS
• 1. Mix everything together in a large bowl with a spatula.
• 2. Roll into little balls (roughly about 1 inch around) & freeze in the freezer for about an hour or so.
NOTE : Of course you can eat these right away, as well. Once cold they definitely hold form best, though!
That's it! Easy peasy. ENJOY!!!
