Plant Based Omega's

Since immune boosting tends to be top of mind lately (& we know we should be consuming extra vitamin C & D especially right now), I thought I'd also share another great supplement our entire family uses : YES Ultimate EFAs!

This organic, plant-based supplement is rich in Omega 3 and 6 ....& NOT a fish oil! #winwin

Essential Fatty Acids have many powerful health benefits for your body & brain, which I think is pretty important right now, as well.

Here are some of the benefits of Omega 3's :
- help raise HDL cholesterol, the “good” cholesterol that protects against heart attack & stroke.
- help fight depression & anxiety
- improve eye health
- help promote brain health during pregnancy & early life
- improve risk factors for heart disease
- reduce symptoms of ADHD in children

Omega-6 fatty acids are great for :
- reducing the risk of heart disease
- lowering total cholesterol levels
- lowering "bad" (LDL) cholesterol levels
- raising "good" (HDL) cholesterol levels
- reducing cancer risk

According to their website, " YES Ultimate EFAs are meticulously formulated, organically produced and cold-pressed seed oils containing Parent Omega-6 and Parent Omega-3. Our EFAs are a better way to get your essential fats than fish oil supplements. Fish oils are not as pure or as effective as organic seed oils and can even be harmful if taken in large doses or over an extended length of time."

I use this liquid version of YES Ultimate EFAs for our kiddos.
I just put the proper dosage into their smoothies or applesauce daily.

And these are the YES Ultimate EFAs in capsule form that my husband & I take!

As always, I hope this is helpful! You can find these supplements on my Amazon Faves Page under the category : "Superfoods, Supplements & More."

PS. If you are just looking for a quick daily boost of omega-3's, you can also throw some chia seeds into your smoothie or oatmeal! They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, fiber, iron & calcium.
