The Geloo Family
Uzma & i first met at school when we were kids. i always remember her ability to make me laugh out loud, her radiant beauty, & her genuine character. she was someone i could trust, someone who encouraged me & supported me -- she was a really great, true friend. 
then one day her family moved to Pakistan and -- back in the days where email didn't exist, nor cell phones or internet really for that matter
-- keeping 'in touch' was not as accessible as it is now. many years passed, Facebook was invented & eventually we became 'friends' again. although it was different then before, being connected felt great. seeing her & her growing family made my heart smile for her. i was so happy to see her SO happy. 
needless to say, when Uzma contacted me about coming to Michigan to visit family & wanting to set up a session with me, my heart was bursting with SMILES. not only was i going to see her again after all these years, but also get to meet & capture her beautiful family?!!! truly unbelievable. life just continues to amaze me in so many ways.
best part? when we reconnected it honestly felt like NO time had passed... & to meet her beautiful, full of life family was SUCH an honor. below are some of my faves from their session, however be sure to check out the slideshow at the end of this post for even more photographs!
Uzma, Nadim, Leena, Elias & Danyal... i honestly can't thank you all enough for not only being such troopers in the cold, but for your joyful, easy-going spirit. i had such a great time with you all & feel so lucky to have been able to capture the love & light that IS your gorgeous family. hope these photographs make you all smile BIG. with love & gratitude, always, ksen

i absolutely love how, if you look closely, you can see the entire family in the reflections of the window.
this was all without ANY prompting whatsoever.
to me it is a true depiction of life when you have 3 kiddos under 5!
laughter, love, hugs, giggles & lots of movement.
