'just A Little Something'
as i sit here & try to begin this post, i realize i don't remember exactly where our paths met... i want to say it was high school track,,, although it very well could have been somewhere in the crowded hallways of Troy High, or even through her brother, Jason -- but regardless, once you meet Jaime, your life will be changed forever (in the best possible way, that is). 
for me, high school was about 12 years ago (yikes! how did that happen?!), so when i got reconnected with Jaime last year, i was beyond thrilled. she was getting married!! so the two of us got together for some photo-talk, caribou coffee, and chatted & laughed as if we hadn't had missed a beat. my heart felt happy.
last Saturday, my heart felt like it was going to burst with happiness -- Jaime married her sweetie, Matt.
i had the great honor of documenting it for them & to say that my face was on 'perma-grin mode' would be an understatement. i think i added a few more laugh-lines to my cheeks that day! 
before Danielle & i left that night, Jaime exclaimed that she had something for me & off she went to get it.
upon her return, she held out her hand with the magnet below :

this may sound strange, but at that very moment, i felt like a second in time just stopped... my heart filled up like a balloon. this quote is something that i have lived by for the longest time, however at right then & there, i realized that somehow, somewhere along the lines of life,,, i had misplaced that quote in my memory bank.
i don't think Jaime will ever know exactly the impact she placed on my heart by what she claimed was 'just a little something' -- it is amazing to me how things happen in life & how some of the most impactFULL memories are the ones you can never even plan on.
