High Protein Cold Foam at Home

May 29, 2026 Wellness, Recipes, Motherhood
There’s just something about a cozy coffee shop drink that makes a slow morning feel extra special.

Lately, I’ve been making this homemade protein cold foam at home & it’s become one of my favorite little treat. It’s creamy, simple, higher in protein than fat & comes together in just a few minutes.

I also love that you can make it regular OR completely plant-based depending on what works best for you.

You can add it to:
* iced coffee
* cold brew
* matcha
* chai
* mushroom coffee

…and it instantly makes everything feel a little more elevated. 😊

The best part? Each serving has about 12–16g of protein!

Regular Protein Cold Foam🧋

INGREDIENTS :
* 1/4 cup organic heavy cream
* 1/4 cup milk of your choice (I use MALK almond milk)
* 4 tbsp vanilla protein powder
* 1 tsp maple syrup

DIRECTIONS :
Add everything to a milk frother, blender, or small jar and froth for about 20–30 seconds until creamy & silky.
Pour over your favorite iced drink & enjoy!

Macros (per serving approximately 2)
* 12–16g protein
* 6–8g fat

Plant-Based Protein Cold Foam 🌿

INGREDIENTS :
* 3/4 cup plant-based milk of your choice
* 4 tbsp plant-based vanilla protein powder
* 1–2 tbsp coconut cream
* 1 tsp maple syrup

DIRECTIONS :
Froth everything together until thick & creamy. If needed, add a splash more almond milk to thin slightly.
Pour over coffee, matcha, chai, or your favorite wellness drink.

Macros (per serving approximately 2)
* 11–15g protein
* 4–7g fat

✨A Few Tips for the Best Cold Foam

* Use very cold ingredients for the thickest foam
* Don’t over-froth or it can become too stiff
* A handheld frother works best, but a blender or mason jar works too
* If you want it thicker, add a little more protein powder
* If it feels too thick, add a splash of almond milk

This has been such a simple way to add a little extra joy (& protein) into my mornings while still making things feel cozy and intentional.

If you make it, let me know what drink you try it with first! 🤍
