Write It Out
Recently we were able to visit our church's new campus building which is still in process. One thing they asked us to do if we felt it on our spirit was to write out a favorite verse or scripture on the ground floors where the stage will be built on top of. Immediately my husband, kiddos & I grabbed a sharpie and got down on that dusty floor to write out whatever God placed on our heart.
I was amazed by how effortlessly this came to all of us & thought the entire process was therapeutic & beautiful. ♡ It led to many great conversations that day & the kids especially thought it was "so cool" that their verses were now permanently on the church floor.

This process also made me reflect & think about how often do we actually stop to write or even declare something good over our self & our life?
Personally, I've been using my blog as writing platform since 2007. It's been an entire collection of all sorts of things & every possible emotion. It's been with me through the happiest of times & the hardest. If you know me well, you know that if I'm ever going through anything, I usually don't feel complete release until I've had time to "write it out." 😊
Writing allows us to articulate our inner experiences & share them with the world in such a personal way if we choose to. There is a release that happens when you put that pen to paper – it's almost indescribable and most definitely, peace giving. 🙏🏼
If you were to write a verse or quote to help anchor you right now in this very moment & season of your life, what would it be?
I encourage you today to take a moment to write whatever comes to mind out. Whether it's a verse, a quote, a saying you hear inside you -- just, WRITE IT OUT. ✨ Take this very moment to do so. Grab a pen or pencil & write it on a post it note, scrap paper, napkin, journal -- simple find a spot and do it!Next, find a place to put it where you know you will see it every day. When you see it, use it as a reminder to take a brief pause & read it again. 🤍
There is SUCH great power in our words & putting them down on paper. I think you will be amazed to see how transformative this seemingly ‘simple’ exercise can be. Give it a whirl & let me know how it goes! 🤗

PS. These were the verses upon our heart that we wrote out that day in case you find it helpful :
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." -John 1:1
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:4-7
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness." -Galatians 5:22
"But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!" -Habakkuk 2:3 TLB
