Healthy Homemade Granola

Jan 22, 2025 Wellness, Recipes
This cold Michigan weather has me craving some toasty, warm comfort food -- so some homemade granola it is! 😋 This recipe is not only super easy to whip up & seriously delicious, but will also make your home smell like a little slice of Heaven!

INGREDIENTS :
2 cups oatmeal (gluten free or regular)
1/4 cup hemp hearts
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup cashews
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup dried cranberries
pinch of a good salt on top (I chose Maldon, but Celtic or Himalayan are great options, as well)
generous dash of cinnamon (personally I love ceylon cinnamon 😊)

OPTIONAL TO ADD: fresh blueberries (which I clearly added into this batch)

NOTE: You can easily substitute any of the nuts above for nuts of your choice. We also LOVE making this granola with dried cherries or goji berries, as well as adding in some cacao powder to make it a more chocolatey batch.

DIRECTIONS :
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients above in a big bowl. Make sure everything is coated evenly with the maple syrup.
3. Spread the granola on a parchment lined baking tray & flatten with a spatula.
4. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
5. Remove & let cool a bit.
6. Store in an air tight container at room temperature.
7. Enjoy as is or on top of anything!

Hope you give it a go. 🤍xx
