please meet Kim, Nick & their adorable son Nikolas!!! i absolutely love this family to pieces & had the great pleasure of working with them last year around this time for Nikolas's 1st birthday.
and speaking of birthdays... today Nikolas turns 2 years old!!! woohooo!
Happy Birthday Nikolas!!! i hope it is a great one filled with lots of fun treats & surprises!!! the most wonderful thing about documenting your children at different ages is how every stage & age is so unique-- it is truly an amazing thing to capture.
Kim, Nick & Nikolas -- thank you again for such a fun time. I always have lots of great laughs when I am with you & truly enjoy your company! I can't wait until the next time I get to see you guys.

when i first arrived Nikolas had just woken up from his nap... & i just think his expression was priceless :
as Kim & Nick were getting him ready, he slowly starting waking up & warming up to me a bit :

once we got to the park & Nikolas got to swing...
he was non-stop smiles!!!
we all were laughing & smiling with him -- his happiness is very contagious!
family portraits with a two-year old are a bit harder to get due to the fact that they own their personalities & have their own agenda
... but that is also part of the fun of it all!!!

this is one of my top fav's from the day hands down :
this one makes me smile because it truly depicts the constant on-the-go nature of Nikolas... even when his Mom is picking him up he wants to "fly"

lindsay & neil
Lindsay & Neil are a WHOLE lot of fun to be around -- there's no question about it! getting married on july 11, 2008, these two know how to make each other laugh out loud & how to easily find a comic approach to life ( you will definitely get a sense of what I am talking about from their photos & slideshow at the end of this post)! they are incredible to be around & document. their undeniable love towards each other is something that can light up a room... or in this case, the Franklin Cider Mill on one of the last days in october.
Lindsay & Neil! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek -- i have been so excited to share it with you both!!! working with you guys was such a blast & i can't wait to do it all over again on the wedding day! thank you for being so up for anything & for the wonderful people that you are.

we ventured off into the parking lot of the cider mill for a little bit...
walked towards a small patch of woods...

& caught the tail end of some amazing sunlight:
of course we also had to buy some delicious cider...
& some scrumptious, toasty, fresh cider donuts (my FAVORITE treat ever)!
if you look closely, you will see that Lindsay's donut has a heart shape in the middle! quite appropriate if i do say so myself!
as the esession wrapped up, i asked them if there was anything particular they wanted, & Lindsay wanted to do a few shots by the "no smoking" sign because this is something she feels very strongly about! i feel that the image below definitely shows that.

Samantha is getting married on December 30th & i just cannot wait for her big day! Samantha is just the sweetest, kindest & most genuine person -- I have really enjoyed meeting & getting to know her a bit better as the wedding date gets nearer & nearer.
I not only have the great honor of documenting her & Rich's special day, I also have the complete honor of doing her make-up look! the entire wedding day is going to be a very elegant, classy affair, so we played up the eyes & kept the lips simple & clean. Samantha is going to be a most beautiful bride!
Samantha, you are awesome! I hope you enjoyed your make-up look & had the best weekend (& that you are able to catch up on some sleep after everything you had going on!!). I am so happy to know you & am very much looking forward to your wedding day -- we are going to have a lot of fun!
