Abbey & Ej

Apr 24, 2008 Wedding
i first met Abbey at Caribou Coffee. i ordered my favorite treat from her (soy turtle with only one pump each of caramel & cocoa, no whip... but lots of turtle treats ) & being the super friendly, outgoing girl that she is, we naturally conversed & immediately hit it off. i was meeting a client there & later Abbey cruised by us and asked if i had a business card because "her sister was getting married"....

since then, it has been a most WONDERFUL time getting to know Abbey & EJ, their families & friends, as well as having had the honor to document her sister's wedding day (Jennifer & James) & their amazing friends, Jessica & RJ's wedding! i have also been able to work with EJ for his website --- i absolutely love when things happen & are connected this way! life is so interesting & i firmly believe that everything always happens for a reason.

from the moment i got to know Abbey & EJ -- it takes no guess work to understand why this couple works & that they are meant to be. they are the definition of a couple that balance & bring out the best in each other. they are also always up for ANYTHING, too, which of course i loooove!!! Abbey & EJ had a most lovely wedding starting with the ceremony at Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, then moving on for reception fun at the gorgeous Historic Fisher Theatre & awesome Motown Soul Food Cafe-- it was a most perfect April day! below are some highlights from the day & if you would like to see more images, be sure to check out the slideshow at the end of this post.

Abbey & EJ... thank you for being the amazing people that you are. when i think of you both, i think of all the great memories, laughter & smiles shared. it has been such an amazing experience getting to know you both (as well as your loved ones)! i feel incredibly honored that you chose me to be your photographer -- thank you!! i hope these images below bring a smile to your face as they have done for me throughout the editing process. enjoy!
