Laura & Jon

Oct 9, 2009 Destination, Wedding, Make.up
just got back home from a non-stop two week work adventure overseas (more on that to come later!) & have been dying to share with you some of my faves from Laura & Jon's beautyFULL wedding day. you might recall these two lovelies from their engagement session post up in the U.P. earlier this year. their wedding took place up north, as well, in Laura's great hometown of Mount Pleasant. we started the day bright & early with hair at Headliner's Salon, then ventured to the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort where the girls finished getting ready & i also had the great pleasure of doing Laura's make-up look! their ceremony at the Sacred Heart Parish was sweet & heartFULL, then a fabulous night filled with awesome toasts, delicious food, dancing & laughter continued on at Bucks Run Golf Club. the day was such a great mixture of so many different moments & emotions. it was a weekend Danielle & i will never forget and were so happy to have been a part of!

also, be sure to check out the slideshow at the end of this post to see even more images!

Laura & Jon, thank you for being wonderFULL you. every single time we get together i always leave smiling & feeling even more alive! i hope you know your love, friendship & connection is inspiring and truly FULL of life. your wedding day was nothing short of ah!mazing,,, and i feel it encompassed so many different sides of who you are individually, and now as a couple,,, husband & wife. i am honored to have been there to document it all & experience the moments with you and your loved ones. thank you for trusting me,,, and for your genuine friendship. i cannot wait to see where the journey leads you both -- it will be a grand adventure, no doubt! with so much love & admiration, ksen

first up,,, while at the salon, i couldn't resist taking a pic of the photo Laura brought in as inspiration for her up-do. how appropriate that it also said, "the look of love"! looove it! :
the rings :
Laura had her dress made & her designer did an outstanding job -- it couldn't have been more perfect for her! love, love & love :
i *heart* her shoes!
a cute shot my awesome assistant Danielle took of Laura & i :
getting ready time...
Laura with her sister & Maid of Honor, Nina. these two have such an incredible relationship. laughter is pretty much a constant when you are around them.
Laura looked absolutely stunning :
a sweet moment between Laura & Nina :
i love this. this to me, is Laura -- her laughter is contagious :
meanwhile,,, Jon was getting ready :
...and looking quite handsome himself! love this portrait of him :
the day was a very 'up north' type of day... just perfect :
at the church :
i *heart* that Laura & Jon used rainbow colored sharpies for their guestbook:
one of my top fave images from the day... an embrace between Laura & her grandmother right before the ceremony :
a beautiful portrait of a most beautyFULL bride :
wahooo! a big congrats to the new mr. & mrs.!!!
Laura with her niece & flowergirl, Anastacia and nephew & ring bearer, Fischer :
it started to rain just a little, so we hopped into the party bus for a champagne toast...
and who said the fun couldn't continue on?! some rain definitely didn't damper the mood of this bridal party! love them :
Ava, who dressed up for the occasion , even managed to make a little visit, which made her Mom & Dad very happy :
Ava's expressions just crack me up!
as the rain lifted, it left a most amazing sky for us to play with. i also adore the symbolism in the one tree next to them :
the gorgeous couple :
a wee bit of bridal party fun ...
off for a little bit of newlywed time :
this image is so simple & yet, i see so much symbolism in it. from them walking arm in arm forward together... to the one, single tree in front of them... to the overall perspective that feels almost infinite of all that lays ahead in their marriage.
just a few of the fancy reception details :
during toasts :
another top favorite hands down, taken during Jeremiah's (Jon's brother & Best Man) toast. if you look closely, you will see one single tear drop upon Laura's cheek. i love, love everything about this image :
their first dance as husband & wife :
Laura with her Father :
Jon with his Mother :
if you follow the blog, you might recall the beautiful faces of Elyssa, Joe & Talia (can you even believe how big Talia is now?! love her!), as well :
to say that the Killer Flamingos ROCKED the night away would be an understatement. they were incredible!!!
and last, but not least... just a few fun romancy night shots :
there is something to be said about a great kiss!...
but also something to be said about the before & after!
