i am the office assistant for .ksp. & sometimes i get the joy of assisting at shoots. additionally, i am a makeup artist and love to get the opportunity to work with ksp in that capacity too. to be with such a team of talent and inspiration, reflecting style and heart with everything we do, is such an honor.

...and to share with you some of me, here are a few things that i LOVE:

people, my babies, family, animals of all shapes & sizes, music, decorating, shopping, pedis, a great haircut, sunshine, a breeze, movies, concerts, chocolate covered potato chips, the beach, water, to have fun, to laugh so hard my cheeks hurt from smiling, true friendship and being part of the team that is ksp!!!!!

i truly feel so lucky and excited to be part of .ksp. because ksenija is such an incredible person, i know this will be an incredible journey! her passion, soul, spirit, & style are truly contagious.

about my makeup style!

i believe that makeup should bring the inner beauty to the surface. to enhance our given features and add some spark!! in doing this, i hope to help women feel more beautiful, feminine, confident and proud. it is such a personal thing, it is important to me that each person feels connected to the experience and trusts me for guidance. and most importantly -- has fun!!! :)

i'm really not too tough to figure out. i enjoy the simple things in life:
a smoky, crackling campfire, a sunny fall day, a jog with my golden retriever in the park, discussing life over a bottle a wine, dancing with friends to my 80's music collection (which happens to be how i won over my husband)...
and at the very top of that list beams our son's laughter. that boy's soul warms my ♥ inexplicably.
my family & i are truly blessed.

as my Grammy always says, "we're so lucky".

i live up north in midland, have a day job, but photography is where my heart is. my photographic style is emotional, focusing on raw interactions that make up our real lives. i find honesty and perfection in a little imperfection.

on a lucky occasion, i'm asked to work with .ksp. … and here's why i say "lucky" ~ i looove working with ksen - I can honestly say I learn something new about life, photography or myself (usually all three) each time we work together. it's never time wasted. i return home motivated by her powerful energy.

i am one of the associate photographers & main assistant at KSP! i take part in everything from shooting weddings & portrait sessions to styling photo shoots. what I am a part of is amazing. I can not call it work, because I love all that it entails. i am lucky enough to come in everyday and create. my co-workers are friends, my desk is in a room with a view, the office walls are bright orange, and we have coffee choices! so, needless to say life is sweet here at KSP.

I am a newly-wed and feel it in every pore! Sunshine is currently shooting out of my eyeballs! It's like every great song ever written is the sound track to our beautiful life ☺ and the music is always playing!!! I love words & their potential to evoke emotion. This is why it is so important to project them positively. Words of affirmation go so much further than those of negativity. I would say I am a dreamer of many dreams, an idealist to a fault. I have a creative soul & a romantic heart. I am a fanatic of honesty & inspired by loyalty. I think these are traits of a person comfortable w/ themselves, & I want to be that. I live for the drug of laughter. I strive to have 2 feet in the now, b/c the past is undependable, the future uncertain, & NOW is where happiness resides. Secretly I hold private concerts in my car whenever the mood strikes me. Music to me is a beautiful production of personal connection, connection to the song, to a place, to other people. My life has been filled with the beautiful adventure called LOVE. Being in love, being loved, and loving is one of my life's greatest journeys. What has been discovered and endured continues to create my heart. I carry Kyle's heart, I carry his heart in my heart.-e.e.cummings. I am lucky enough to have my own personal fan club, my beautiful family. My closest friends are going to change the world, & I'll be there when they accept their awards. Family & Friends are important, even more important is to tell them that they are.

and i am one of ksenija's associate photographers. inspired by ksenija's passion for life (and everything she does), my own life took a major turn as i struggled to free my creative self and unleash what i feel i have to contribute to this world. i left my previous job as an x ray technologist and decided to take on photography,,,working at .ksp. has brought me so much more than a creative outlet, it has surrounded me by inspired people who have also brought out the best in me. we laugh, we dance, we eat well,,, we listen to each other, we are devoted people & over all else: we support one another and we are a team in every aspect,,,
in friendship, in work & in our hearts...

now,,, a lil' bit more about me mi mi mi miiiiii (sung out loud) :

this past year i have been so fortunate to not only marry the man of my dreams,,,i truly do believe that he is the best man in the world (!), but i have also changed careers, moved to a new city, and on top of it all,,,
i have been sooo b l e s s e d with my beautiful baby boy, william (whom we named after my 95 year old grandfather !)...

aaand there's more,,, i am an absolute sweet tooth, i sing out loud & dance!, my favorite color changes but my eye color does not, the smell of burning leaves goes right to my core, my dog follows me everywhere -- my faith in spirituality is continual and endless (it reminds me to love above all else, to acknowledge my intuition, to allow the tears to fall & so much more), i have a deep side & a simple side, i love yoga & running, i believe in myself, i want what i have. i try not to take for granted all of the wonderful things that happen, i speak my mind but i don't HAVE to be the one talking, i love being a woman, i value my body, i color my hair but i don't believe in cutting it,,, i will make you laugh. im a hugger, i rock, i breast feed, i make a mean sun-dried tomato quinoa, i crave nature & the occasional cocktail,,,i never stop learning. i am absolutely taken by musicians, i tell people how much they mean to me & overall: im doing my best. im very energetic!! fall is my season, change is my virtue,

i had the incredible pleasure of documenting her Bat Mitzvah,,, so i must warn you -- this is a BIG post with even more images in the slideshow at the end of this post!!!

Jenna is SUCH a sweetheart with the most infectious smile... it is no surprise to me how much she was surrounded by love from her friends & family throughout this very special time in her life.

this was the last personal, from the heart post that i wrote on my blog called 'happiness?'.

i was in the midst of another uber busy season, opening up a brand new studio space for KSP & unfortunately faced with some unexpected life lessons of trust & friendship. as much as an exciting time as it was with KSP finally planting it's roots & making it's home, it was a difficult time emotionally. i was stuck & due to my 7 day a week work schedule, never finding the 'time' to take care of me.

the time to just be.

and even when i tried to carve out some time, my mind wasn't able to rest & my heart felt heavy like a fifty pound weight.

i started countless blog posts in my mind, in my journal & even recorded into my phone.

YET,,, something stopped me from writing.
& in a way, something stopped me from truly LIVING.
i became trapped within a cycle of wanting to please others, take care of all else, leave Ksenija for last.

well, not anymore.
we can say it is something about the new year,,,
or just something about it being time.
time to let out all that i have been trapping inside.
time to make a difference,
time to LIVE.
time to LOVE.
time to blast my PASSION.
time to shine.
time to make time.

yes, it's time. & BOYYYYYYY do i have so. much. to share.

it's time to really smile.
you know, that inside out from the heart S M I L E ?!
