"Anxiety is experiencing difficulty that hasn’t occurred yet."

We saw this on a sign while driving today. Pretty powerful isn't it? I can't get it out of my head. It's no secret that anxiety can have such a strong grip on how our days go & definitely prevent one from living in the present moment. So, what if we chose to remind ourselves of this instead?

Personally, this struck me because I don't want to waste my time worrying about things that haven't even happened (or are simply out of my control) & then, in turn, be "experiencing difficulty" instead of enjoying what IS actually happening right in front of me. Of course, this is quite the process to untangle, as life & society these days makes it far too easy to become continually trapped in the 'anxiety cycle' BUT, it's one that I feel is beyond worth fighting for.

Life is meant to be more FULL of stopping to smell the roses... or, at the very least, admire the flowers planted all around you. They are there for a reason, and so are you.
